African-American runner. Born May 26, 1976, in Columbia, SC; attended University of North Carolina.

Won gold medals for 4×400-meter relay at Sydney Olympics (2000) and Athens Olympics (2004); won US Indoor championship in the 400 meters (2002, 2003).
