Friedman, Ignaz (b Podgórze, nr. Kraków, 1882; d Sydney, NSW, 1948). Polish pianist and composer. Début Vienna. Toured in Eur. and USA, living in Berlin until 1914, then in Copenhagen and, from 1940, in Australia. Frequently partnered Huberman in vn. sonatas. Ed. Chopin's works. Comp. chamber mus. and songs.
