Francés de Iribarren Juan
Francés de Iribarren, Juan, Spanish organist
and composer; b. Sangiiessa, Navarre, 1698; d. Malaga, Sept. 2, 1767. He became organist at Salamanca Cathedral in 1717, serving as its asst. maestro de capilla (1732–33) and titular maestro (1733–66). He was a notable composer of villancicos, of which he wrote some 500.
