Field-Hyde, Margaret (b Cambridge, 1905; d Goring-on-Thames, 1995). Eng. soprano and violinist. Début 1928 in Cambridge revival of Purcell's King Arthur. Specialist in Purcell and Bach, but also in works by Lutyens and other contemps. Founded Golden Age Singers 1950.
