Crivelli, Giovanni Battista , Italian composer;

b. Scandiano, Modena, date unknown; d. Modena, March 1652. He was organist at the Reggio Emilia Cathedral (1614–19); then served as maestro di cappella at the Accademia dello Spirito Santo in Ferrara (1626); subsequently was organist at the electoral court in Munich. He was maestro di cappella at the Milan Cathedral (1638–12), at S. Maria Maggiore in Bergamo (1642–18), and at the ducal court in Modena (1651–52). He publ. // primo libro delli motetti concertati for two to five Voices and Basso Continu (Venice, 1626) and II primo libro delli madrigali concertati for two to four Voices and Basso Continuo (Venice, 1626).
