Borodin Quartet. Russian string quartet founded Oct. 1945. From 1974 personnel have been unchanged: Mikhail Kopelman and Andrei Abramenclov (vns.), Dmitri Shebalin (va.), and Valentin Berlinsky (vc.). Recorded all Shostakovich qts. 1979–84 and gave complete cycle in 1986 in London.
