Aristides Quintilianus
Aristides Quintilianus
Aristides Quintilianus, Greek writer on music who flourished about 200 A.D. He wrote a treatise in 3 vols, on music (annotated Eng. tr. by T. Mathiesen as On Music, in Three Books, New Haven, 1983). In spite of its flaws, his treatise remains a valuable source on ancient Greek music.
