Witchouse 3: Demon Fire ★★ 2001 (R)

Stevie (Rochon) and Rose (Krause) are filming a documentary on witchcraft, when their old friend Annie (Dempsey) comes to visit. Annie is seeking refuge from her abusive boyfriend and her buddies are glad to oblige. As part of the documentary, the three women conduct a mock seance, and inadvertently raise the spirit of the evil witch Lilith (Stevens). Soon, strange things happen and the corpses start piling up. Is Lilith real, or has one of the girls gone insane? As with the other films in this series, director Book-walter is able to put every nickel up on-screen and create an interesting movie. This one isn't great art, nor does it want to be. It's simply a horror film that offers cheap thrills, attractive ladies, and a brief escape from reality. 77m/C DVD . Debbie Rochon, Tanya Dempsey, Tina Krause, Brinke Stevens; D: J.R. Bookwalter.
