Capt. Kermit Dowling (Saxon) and excon Gaudiel (Poe) led Filipino guerrillas against remnants of the Japanese forces on the Philippines. The Japanese have taken over a convent in their search for a ship of gold bullion and Gaudiel manages to sneak inside where he encounters American Shelia (Fitzsimmons), who's been sheltered by the nuns.
