Prey of the Jaguar
Prey of the Jaguar ★★½ 1996 (R)
Derek Leigh (Caulfield) is an ex-Special Ops agent who's the target of revengeminded drug lord Damien Bandera (Goddard). When Bandera slaughters his family, Leigh transforms himself into costumed avenger, the Jaguar (after his son's drawing), and first goes after Bandera's drug network before hunting the man himself. Dopey costume but this vigilante prefers putting people to sleep (via a dart) rather than killing them so there's reduced gore and the violence is more martialarts than slice-and-dice. 96m/C VHS, DVD . Maxwell Caulfield, Trevor Goddard, Linda Blair, Stacy Keach, Paul Regina; D: David DeCoteau; W: Rory Johnston, Bud Robertson, Nick Spagnoli; C: Howard Wexler; M: Jeff Walton.
