Poet- in-residence, North Dakota Arts Council, Fargo, ND, 1979-92. Preached at Hope and Spencer Memorial Presbyterian churches, Keldron and Lemmon, SD, and taught poetry in rural schools. Oblate (lay associate) of Benedictine Order, 1986-.
