Cusack's father adapted a 19thcentury Ger man novel, “Michael Kohlhaas” by Hein rich Von Kleist, into a 19thcentury American western, set in Wyoming. Myrl Red ding (Cusack) is a peaceful horse trader who demands justice when wealthy land owner Henry Ballard (Jones) beats two of Redding's horses and their Indian caretaker. Since Ballard has the local law in his pocket, Redding gets no satisfaction. Becoming obsessed, he decides to form a vigilante posse to get Ballard to pay for his actions. 120m/C VHS, DVD .
