The Heavenly Kid
The Heavenly Kid ★★ 1985 (PG-13)
Leather-jacketed “cool” guy who died in a ‘60s hot rod crash finally receives an offer to exit limbo and enter heaven. The deal requires that he educate his dull earthly son on more hip and worldly ways. A big problem is that the soundtrack and wardrobe are 1955, whereas the cocky cool greaser supposedly died 17 years ago in 1968. Mildly entertaining. 92m/C VHS, DVD . Lewis Smith, Jane Kaczmarek, Jason Gedrick, Richard Mulligan; D: Cary Medoway; W: Cary Medoway, Martin Copeland.
