Nashville Unit Scholarships (Undergraduate/Scholarship)

Purpose: To educate its members and the public on the cultivation of herbs and the study of their history and uses. Focus: Horticulture. Qualif.: Applicants must be permanent residents of Tennessee; must be current college freshman, sophomore or junior students who are American citizens. Criteria: Recipients are selected based on financial need and academic performance.

Funds Avail.: $2,500. To Apply: Applicants must submit a completed application form and two letters of reference. Deadline: April 1.

Pennsylvania Heartland Unit Scholarships (Undergraduate/Scholarship)

Purpose: To educate its members and the public on the cultivation of herbs and the study of their history and uses. Focus: Horticulture. Qualif.: Applicants must be third or fourth year students of an associate degree program within the study of horticulture; must be residents of Berks, Montgomery, York, Lancaster or Schuylkill county. Criteria: Recipients are selected based on financial need and academic performance.

Funds Avail.: $1,500. To Apply: Applicants must submit: a completed application form; two letters of reference from which one must come from an advisor or professor and one from a reference of the student’s choice; must submit an official school transcript; and an essay stating their reasons for choosing the field of horticulture and future plans. South Texas Unit Scholarships (Undergraduate/Scholarship)

Purpose: To educate its members and the public on the cultivation of herbs and the study of their history and uses.

Focus: Horticulture. Qualif.: Applicants must be students who are studying agronomy, horticulture, botany or a closely-related discipline at an accredited four-year college or university; must be either permanent residents of Texas or attending an accredited college or university in Texas; must have completed two full years of college and be entering their junior or senior year of studies. Criteria: Recipients are selected based on academic performance and financial need.

Western Reserve Herb Society Scholarships (Undergraduate/Scholarship)

Purpose: To educate its members and the public on the cultivation of herbs and the study of their history and uses. Focus: Horticulture. Qualif.: Applicants must be: undergraduate students; Ohio residents; studying horticulture or a related field such as landscape architecture or horticultural therapy; planning a career involving teaching/research or work in the public sector; entering their second to fifth year of an undergraduate program at an accredited college or university. Criteria: Recipients are selected based on academic performance and financial need.

Funds Avail.: $4,000. To Apply: Applicants must submit a completed application form.

Francis Sylvia Zverina Scholarship (Undergraduate/Scholarship)

Purpose: To educate its members and the public on the cultivation of herbs and the study of their history and uses. Focus: Horticulture. Qualif.: Applicants must be students in good scholastic standing who are studying horticulture or related fields such as landscape architecture or horticultural therapy; must have horticultural career goals involving teaching/research or work in the public sector; must be U.S. citizens; must have completed their second or third year of undergraduate school at an accredited college or university anywhere in United States. Criteria: Recipients are selected based on academic records and financial need.
