Fury ★★★½ 1936

Tracy gives an excellent performance as an innocent young man framed for kidnapping and then nearly murdered by a lynch mob. His plans for revenge are thwarted by his girlfriend, who fears that he will turn into the murderer he has been accused of being. Powerful anti-violence message is wellmade, with strong ensemble acting. Lang's favorite of his Americanmade films. 96m/B VHS, DVD . Spencer Tracy, Sylvia Sidney, Walter Abel, Bruce Cabot, Edward Ellis, Walter Brennan, Frank Albertson; D: Fritz Lang; C: Joseph Ruttenberg. Natl. Film Reg. ‘95.
