3-Way ★★ Three Way Split 2004 (R)

Sure it can be fun to watch the pretty people double-cross each other in this adaptation of Gil Brewer's 1963 novel “Wild to Possess” but even that wears thin. A philandering hubby and his girlfriend plot to kidnap his rich wife (Gershon) then bump her off after they get the ransom. Enter Lew (Purcell)—a troubled soul (with a heart)—who overhears the scheme and sees an easy score; however a blackmailer (Yoakam) arrives just in time to foul things up. Too few degrees of separation among the players make for far-fetched scenarios that deflate potentially intriguing plot twists. 88m/C VHS, DVD . Joy Bryant, Gina Gershon, Dwight Yoakam, Desmond Harrington, Ali Larter, Dominic Purcell; D: Scott Ziehl; W: Russell P. Marleau; C: Antonio Calvache; M: Christopher Hoag. VIDEO
