Ochoa, Blanca Fernández (c. 1964—)
Spanish skier. Born around 1964; sister of Francisco Ochoa (who won a gold medal in slalom at Sapporo).
Blanca Fernández, who had been a regular on the World Cup tour for 11 years, came away from three Olympics without a medal. In 1992, in Albertville, Ochoa won the bronze in the slalom. "I can forget the failures that have haunted me," she told a reporter that day. "You cannot imagine the enormous work of an entire life that went into this."
