Queen of Spain. Name variations: Mary Josepha. Born on December 6, 1803; died on May 17, 1829; daughter of Caroline of Parma (1770–1804) and Maximilian of Saxony, duke of Saxony (r. 1830–1838); became third wife of Ferdinand VII, king of Spain (r. 1813–1833), on October 20, 1819; no children. Ferdinand VII's first wife was Maria Antonia of Naples (1784–1806); his second was Maria Isabel of Portugal (1797–1818); his fourth was Maria Cristina I of Naples (1806–1878).
