Queen of Sweden. Born Frederica Dorothea Wilhelmina on March 12, 1781; died on September 25, 1826; daughter of Charles Louis of Padua (b. 1755), prince of Padua and Baden, and Amalie of Hesse-Darmstadt (b. 1754); married Gustavus IV Adolphus (1778–1837), king of Sweden (r. 1792–1809), on October 31, 1797 (divorced 1812); children: Gustavus of Sweden, prince of Vasa (b. 1799); Sophia of Sweden (1801–1875); Charles Gustavus (b. 1802); Amelia Marie Charlotte (1805–1853); Cecilie (1807–1844, who married Frederick Augustus, grand duke of Oldenburg).
