Duchess of Penafiel. Born around 1311; died in 1347; daughter of Fernando also known as Ferdinand de la Cerda (b. 1272) and Juana Nunez de Lara (1285–1351); became second wife of John Manuel also known as Juan Manuel "el Scritor," duke of Penafiel, in 1328; children: Beatriz (died young); Joanna of Castile (1339–1381). Juan Manuel's first wife was Constance of Aragon (d. 1327).
