Greek philosopher. Lived in Boetian town of Chaeronea; m. Plutarch (born c. 46, writer, lecturer, philosopher, priest of the Delphic Oracle who wrote Parallel Lives); children: 4 sons and daughter Timoxena who died in infancy.
Plutarch claims she wrote On the Love of Adornment, written in the form of letter to a woman called Aristylla.
