Austrian journalist and politician. Born Sept 22, 1945, in Vienna, Austria.
Journalist and presenter with ORF-TV (1972–99); as a member of the European People's Party (Christian Democrats) and European Democrats, elected to 4th and 5th European Parliament (1994–99, 1999–2004); chaired the Delegation to the EU-Czech Republic Joint Parliamentary Committee. Awarded the Schuman Prize.
