Sperling, Hilde (1908–1981)
German tennis player. Name variations: Hilde Krahwinkel. Born Hilde Krahwinkel, Mar 26, 1908, in Essen, Germany; died Feb 14, 1981; m. Sven Sperling (Danish tennis star).
Greatly respected player on the international tennis circuit in 1930s, won the French Open (3 times) and Swiss championships; was runner-up at Wimbledon (1931).
