Canadian playwright and novelist. Born 1943 in Kimberley, British Columbia, Canada; attended universities of Victoria, Toronto and London.
Co-founded journal Atlantis: A Woman's Studies Journal (1976); taught at Acadia University in Nova Scotia; plays include Susanna Moodie (1976), Giant Anna (1978–79) and Subversive Elements (1986); novels include Quilt (1982); with Margaret Conrad and Toni Laidlaw, edited No Place Like Home: Diaries and Letters of Novia Scotia Women (1988).
