Sibylle of Burgundy (1126–1150)

Queen of Sicily. Name variations: Sibylle de Bourgogne. Born in 1126; died on September 19, 1150; daughter of Hugh II (b. 1085), duke of Burgundy (r. 1102–1143), and Mathilde de Mayenne ; became third wife of Roger II, king of Sicily (r. 1103–1154), duke of Apulia (r. 1128–1154), in 1149. Roger II's first wife was Beatrice of Rethel ; his second was Elvira (d. 1135).
