Sarstadt, Marian (1942–)
Dutch ballet dancer. Born July 11, 1942, in Amsterdam, Netherlands.
Made debut performance with Johanna Snoek's Scapino Ballet (1957); danced in Grand Ballet du Marquis de Cuevas (1960–61), then with Netherlands Dance Theater (1962–72), where she was celebrated for principal roles in contemporary ballets, including Tetley's Mythical Hunters, Harkavy's Recital for Cello and Eight Dancers, Van Manen's Dualis and Metaforen, and others; after retiring from performing (1972), served as ballet mistress at Scarpino Ballet.
