Dutch-Jewish woman. Name variations: Petronella van Daan in diary. Born Sept 9, 1900; died in concentration camp, 1945; m. Hermann van Pels; children: Peter.

Known as Petronella van Daan in Anne Frank's original diary, was caught in the Secret Annex, transported to Auschwitz, then Bergen-Belsen, Buchenwald, and Theresienstadt.
