Was vice-president of production at 20th Century-Fox (1986–87) and president of production for Turner Pictures (1994–96); was a studio executive at Columbia Pictures (1997–94); then served as president of Columbia (2000–03); became chair of Motion Picture Group of Sony Pictures Entertainment (2003).
