Papadopoulou, Alexandra (1867–1906)

Greek novelist and shortstory writer. Born 1867 in Constantinople, of Greek parents; died 1906.

Published Miss Lesviou's Diary (1894), the 1st novel written by a Greek woman; favoring use of modern Greek, wrote over 200 articles and short stories for Greek journals about social and political problems; with others, published journal Literary Echoes (1896).
