French ballet dancer. Born Nov 24, 1801, inParis, France; died Sept 1852 in Paris.
Made debut at Paris Opéra(1818), remaining there for 23 years; created numerous roles, including Effie in Taglioni's La Sylphide (1832), and the mime role of Fenella in Aumer's La Muette di Portici (1828), among others.
