British poet, literary critic and feminist. Born 1941 in Wales.
Joined Communist Party of Great Britain and became active in women's peace movement; works include Bravo to Girls and Heroes (1977), Reactions to Sunsets (1980), and Late Spring Next Year (1987); with Denise Riley, wrote No Fee: A Line or Two for Free (1978); edited The Virago Book of Love Poetry (1991).
