Marmein, Phyllis (1908–1994)

American concert dancer. Born July 4, 1908, probably around Chicago, IL; died June 23, 1994, in Schenectady, NY; dau. of Anna Egleton; sister of Irene and Miriam Marmein (dancers).

Performed concert and vaudeville acts with sisters, including Egyptian, Indian, Chinese, and trio tandem dances; moved to Schenectady, NY, to teach ballet at family-run studio after retirement from performance career; served as director of Schenectady Civic Ballet.
