Maric, Ljubica (1909–2003)
Serbian conductor and composer. Born in Kragujevac, Serbia, Mar 18, 1909; died in 2003.
Studied under J. Slavenski at Music School in Belgrade and under Josef Suk and Alois Haba at Prague Conservatory; also studied conducting under Nikolai Malko; during WWII, fought the Nazis as a partisan; at war's end, began teaching; came to the Music Academy of Belgrade (1957).
