American actress and women's rights activist. Name variations: LaFollette. Born in 1882; died Feb 17, 1970, in Arlington, Virginia; dau. of Robert M. La Follette (US senator) and Belle Case La Follette (1859–1931, social reformer); m. George Middleton (playwright, died).

Stage credits include The Scarecrow and Tradition; following mother's death, took over and finished biography of her father, La Follette (Macmillan, 1953).
