Kono, Taeko (1926–)

Japanese novelist. Born 1926 in Osaka, Japan.

Served as director of Japan Association for Writers and of Museum of Modern Japanese Literature; works include Hunting for Children (1961), Crabs (1963), Unexpected Voice (1968), and Bizarre Story of a Husband and Wife during Wartime (1990). Won several awards, including Shincho Prize and Yomiuri Prize for Literature.
