Hamilton, Anne (1766–1846)

Lady-in-waiting to Queen Caroline of Brunswick. Name variations: Lady Anne Hamilton. Born in 1766; died in 1846; daughter of Archibald, 9th duke of Hamilton; sister of Lord Archibald Hamilton (1770–1827).

As lady-in-waiting, Lady Anne Hamilton accompanied Caroline of Brunswick on the queen's return to England from exile in 1820. Lady Hamilton's book, Secret History of the Court, was published under her name without her consent.
