Indian novelist and short-story writer. Born 1938 in Calcutta, India.
Wrote primarily in Hindi and translated some works into English; writings include Uske Hisse Ki Dhoop, Anitya, Kath Gulab, Tukra Tukra Aadmi and Ek Aur Ajnabi. Received Maharaja Veer Singh Award (1975) and Uttar Pradesh Hindi Sansthan Sahitya Bhushan award (1999).
