Irish politician. Born May 1953, in Dublin, Ireland; m. Alexis Fitzgerald (lord mayor of Dublin); children: 4 sons.
Representing Fine Gael, elected to the 22nd-27th Dáil for Dublin North West (1981–97); was minister of state at the Dept. of Social Welfare and minister of state at the Dept. of Health, with responsibility for Poverty and Family Affairs (1981–82); later focused on welfare of Irish prisoners in Britain.
