Sir John Danvers of Wilts (1588–1655); children: (1st m.) Lord Edward Herbert of Cherbury (1583–1648, philosopher and historian); George Herbert (1593–1633, orator).
The mother of George Herbert and close friend of John Donne, was a generous patron of letters.
