Clayden, Pauline (1922–)

English ballet dancer. Born 1922 in London, England.

Performed with numerous companies, including the Royal Opera House at Covent Garden, dancing in operas (1938), and with London Ballet and its offspring Ballet Arts and Ballet Rambert (c. 1940); joined Sadler's Wells Ballet (1942), where she created roles in Ninette de Valois' Prometheus (1943), Frederick Ashton's Cinderella (1948), and performed in company revivals of ballet classics.
