Appeared in over 400 stage and film productions; made London stage debut (1912); films include The Life of Lord Byron (as Lady Caroline Lamb), The Constant Nymph, The Lady Vanishes, The Citadel, Cavalcade, No Orchids for Miss Blandish, Ladies in Retirement, Macbeth, The Fugitive and Oliver Twist.
