Soviet gymnast. Name variations: Chousovitina. Born June 19, 1975, in Bukhara, Uzbekistan; m. Bakhodir Kuranov (wrestler), 1997.
Won US Olympic Cup and World Sports Fair (1990); at World championships, won a gold medal in floor exercises and team all-around and a silver in vault (1991), a bronze in vault (1992, 1993), and a silver in vault (2001); at Barcelona Olympics, won a gold medal in team all-around (1992); won Friendship Classic and Gander Memorial (2001); was the 1st woman to perform a layout full-out on floor exercises.
