Born Maud Alexandra Victoria Georgina Bertha on April 3, 1893, in Richmond upon Thames, Surrey, England; died on December 14, 1945, in London, England; daughter of Louise Victoria (1867–1931), princess Royal and duchess of Fife, and Alexander Duff, 1st duke of Fife; married Charles Carnegie, 11th earl of Southesk, on November 12, 1923; children: James Carnegie (b. 1929), 3rd duke of Fife.
