American dancer and choreographer. Born May 10, 1954, in Hanover, New Hampshire.
Choreographed many works, often for untrained dancers, in and around New York City (as of 1978), most of which are characterized by her incorporation of ordinary, pedestrian movement; experimented with film and in collaboration with composers; works of choreography include New Dances (Pas, Styles, Tracings, Forms, Ghost Dance and Its How You Play the Game, 1980), and New Choreography: Untitled Work in Progress (1980).
