Bouvier, Jeanne (1865–1964)

French feminist and trade unionist. Born Feb 11, 1865, in Salaize-sur-Sanne, Isère, France; died 1964.

At 11, began work in a silk factory; worked as a domestic, then dressmaker; attended meetings of dressmakers' trade union (1902) and became an active trade unionist; published her memoirs, Mes mémoires (1936).
