Anabaptist martyr. Name variations: Boucher or Butcher; Joan of Kent. Executed in 1550.

Joan Bocher, a friend of Anne Askew , maintained that Christ did not "take flesh of the virgin." After being interrogated by Thomas Cranmer, archbishop of Canterbury, she was imprisoned and later burned at Smithfield. Cranmer followed her to the stake six years later.
