English actress. Born Feb 10, 1913, in London, England; died May 10, 1968, in New York, NY; dau. of Viola Roache (actress, 1885–1961).
Began career on the London stage as a child; made Broadway debut in The Stepdaughters of the War (1930); other plays include Ah Wilderness, Dream Girl, The Long Voyage Home, Mr. Pickwick, My Fair Lady and What Did We Do Wrong?; appeared in such films as The Notorious Landlady, The World of Henry Orient and The Group.
