American murderer (accused). Name variations: Sadie Atkins. Born May 7, 1948, in San Gabriel, California; m. Donald Lee Laisure, 1980; m. James Whitehouse, 1987.
Met Charles Manson in San Francisco and moved to commune in Los Angeles; with other Manson gang members, committed murders of Gary Hinman, Sharon Tate, Jay Sebring, Abigail Folger, Voytek Frykowski, and Leno and Rosemary La Bianca; arrested for auto theft with other gang members (1969) and then cooperated in prosecution of Charles Manson and others; charged with murders and sentenced to death (1971); sentence commuted to life.
