Robert Lee Moore
Robert Lee Moore
1882-1974
American mathematician who worked in the field of geometry. He received his doctorate for his work entitled "Sets of Metrical Hypotheses for Geometry" from the University of Chicago. He taught at various schools, including University of Tennessee, Princeton, Northwestern and Pennsylvania universities, and the University of Texas. He was president of the American Mathematical Society for two years and was chief editor of the Colloquium Publications for seven years.
