American aviator who made history on March 17, 1997, flying from Oakland, California, in an original Lockheed Electra 10E airplane to recreate Amelia Earhart's 1937 ill-fated journey of circumnavigating the globe. After 73 days and 26,000 miles (41,834 km), Finch returned to Oakland on May 28. Finch is an experienced pilot with more than 20 year's experience in flying historic aircrafts, as well as a millionaire businesswoman who runs two nursing homes and a retirement community in Texas.
